Flying in or driving in from the rest of Canada or U.S.:
Come to the Halifax International Airport. Proceed by car towards Halifax on Highway 102 and get off at Exit 1A and then take Exit 2B towards Prospect, Peggy’s Cove (Highway 333). Travel for approximately 30 minutes until you come to the turnoff to the village of East Dover (you are nearing the East Dover turnoff when you pass by the Big Lake and McGrath’s Cove turnoffs on the highway). Take the turnoff to East Dover and bear left at the cemetary. Continue on till you enter the village and go left at the fork onto Leary’s Cove Road. Just past the mailboxes on the right you will see a gravel road to the left called Myra’s Road. The Centre is at 20 Myra’s Road.
Coming from Halifax:
One can either come out the Bay Road off the Rotary to the second set of lights turning off to the left towards Peggy’s Cove/Prospect and then follow the directions above from there. Or one can drive down Bayer’s Road and onto the 102 (Bicentennial Highway) and take Exit 1A and 2B and follow the above directions from there.
Coming from the South Shore or Yarmouth:
Take Exit 5 and proceed towards Peggy’s Cove. Continue on past Peggy’s Cove and past West Dover and past Black Duck Run. The next turnoff to the right is East Dover. From there, follow the above directions into the village.
Halifax International Airport (YHZ)

- Transportation Information (Bus, Rental Vehicles, Taxi and Limo). The closest Airport Bus drop off location is the Lord Nelson Hotel, a 10 - 15 minute walk. Zincks Bus Company provides an AirBus shuttle service between the airport and various hotels in the Metro Area. Core hours of operation are 08:00 - 23:00. Regular rates for the AirBus are $12 CDN one way or $20 CDN for a return ticket. For more information, call (902) 873-2091. The AirBus has a regular departure schedule from Halifax International Airport to Metro Halifax.
Taxi and limousine services are available curbside in the Domestic Arrivals area for all arriving flights. A one-way trip to Halifax city center is approximately $41 CDN by taxi and $43 CDN by limousine.
